Reach Out is a charitable non-government organization whose mission is to assist the poors in rural areas of Sabah. Continuous rain since early February affected between 4K-5K people (including children) due to damaged gravel roads connecting to the villages in the interior. Close to 1,000 people have been relocated, spread around four relief centres, while more are still stranded in their homes, partially/ completely cut-off from immediate help.

Free Food Society has donated RM10K towards their appeal for 3,000 sacks of rice for poor families in the district of Pitas-Bengkoka. These people are mainly rubber tappers, farmers and fishermen living well below the poverty line. Reach Out has been distributing the rice bags on 28th Mar and 29th Mar 2022.

Some of the areas covered are:

  • Kg. Limau Manis
  • Kg. Kedayan
  • Kg. Layung Darat
  • Kg. Masin
  • Kg. Untang-Untang
  • Kg. Kanibongan

We’re glad to support this initiative by giving them the most essential to continue their life.
