Free Food Society tries to reach remote areas where food aid is not readily available. We have reached remote areas in Sabah and Sarawak and here we reached an isolated area in Langkawi, Kampung Selat on Pulau Dayang Bunting. This was made possible by working with a local NGO, Gerobok Rezeki PRV. Nusral Danir who owns a holiday Villa in Langkawi has turned his resort into a food distribution center. He sourced the food, packed them and hired a boat to get them across to the island. A very large number of people in Langkawi have lost their source of income having been reliant on the tourism industry which is down to almost nil for two years now. This aid has also indirectly helped the local mart and the local boat owner. If you would like to help more people through us, please donate to:
