When the country was hit by the major flood, there was no denying that many were affected badly. The current COVID-19 pandemic also persisted longer than expected and caused many people to lose their sources of income. Therefore, to alleviate the burden of the affected group, FFS continues to provide the basic needs regardless of status and religion.
On 2 February, we collaborated with Al-Fitrah Foundation to supply food and basic kitchen items to the ‘asnaf’, orphans, and flood victims at Masjid Jamek Saad Bin Abi Waqqas, Gombak.
On 6 February, FFS also distributed 100 packs of easy meals to students at University Malaya. We received an appeal from the student leaders for basic supplies as many students were very low on finances and couldn’t afford to buy food. Without hesitation, we donated items such as tea, sugar, Milo, cereal, porridge, kicap and cream crackers. On the same day, we also donated 100 JG food packs to B40s at PPR Seri Alam by collaborating with Persatuan Usahawan Seri Alam. We feel blessed to even have the chance to help these people in need and seeing the smiles on their faces was enough to make our days.
